The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) is calling for increased adoption of solar energy by businesses, warning that high energy costs are undermining the competitiveness of Ghanaian industries.

According to the AGI, rising electricity and other energy-related expenses are placing significant pressure on businesses, increasing production costs and limiting their ability to compete effectively.

The association believes greater investment in solar energy could provide businesses with a more affordable and reliable alternative, helping to reduce operating costs and improve productivity.

The association is therefore urging businesses and relevant stakeholders to explore renewable energy solutions, particularly solar power, as part of efforts to strengthen industrial competitiveness and support sustainable economic growth.
