Investment company, Golden Roots Properties, has held a property investment forum dubbed: The Golden Roots Festival in Mankessim.

The event, held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, was aimed at bringing together prospective property owners and investors to explore opportunities and learn about the processes involved in acquiring land for property development.

The forum also created a platform for participants to interact with key stakeholders across the property development chain.

The event brought together traditional authorities, investors and other industry players.

Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Omanhen of the Mankessim Traditional Area, Osaagyefo Amanful Edu VI; the Deputy Managing Director of the Cocoa Processing Company, Fatimah Amoadu; and the District Chief Executive for Ekumfi, Ishmael Nana Asamoah.

Opening Mankessim Up to Investors

Explaining the purpose of the programme, the Director of Innovation at Golden Roots Properties, Hafiz Toyyib, said the initiative was aimed at opening up Mankessim to investors and prospective property owners.

He said the festival was designed to create opportunities for people to establish their legacy projects and invest in property assets without going through unnecessary stress.

“Our purpose is to open Mankessim up to investors and property owners so that people can set up their legacy projects and invest in assets without going through the stress,” he said.

Mr Toyyib said Golden Roots Properties, together with its partners, was prepared to support prospective investors throughout the property acquisition process.

He added that the initiative was also intended to change the perception that property development and investment opportunities exist only in major cities and big towns.

“People should not only think that properties can be done in cities and big towns,” he stressed.

Buy Land from Registered Entities

Addressing participants, the Omanhen of the Mankessim Traditional Area, Osaagyefo Amanful Edu VI, urged prospective landowners to deal with credible and registered institutions to avoid fraudulent transactions and multiple claims to the same land.

He cautioned prospective buyers against acquiring land directly from chiefs and families when registered companies are available to assist with the process.

“Don’t go directly to any chief when you want to buy land. I’m a chief, but I will not tell you to come and buy land from me,” he cautioned.

“It’s always safer to buy from institutions or companies, registered companies like Golden Root Properties. Even in their case, make sure that the land is registered, and all the requisite stamps from the Lands Commission are on it before you make any commitment,” he advised.

The Omanhen expressed hope that more editions of the Golden Roots Festival would be organised in the years ahead and pledged his support for the initiative.

“We are hopeful that we are going to organize more of such festivals in the years ahead, and we are appealing to the board and management of Golden Root Properties that any time they call on us, we will be prepared to come and support,” he said.

Invest in the Central Region

The Deputy Managing Director of the Cocoa Processing Company, Fatimah Amoadu, also encouraged Ghanaians, particularly those living abroad, to consider investing in the Central Region.

She urged investors to take advantage of the region’s growing opportunities and invest in their home region to create lasting assets for future generations.

“Come and invest in the region that made you. Let the success you have earned abroad build something lasting in the soil that first held your name,” she urged.

She said the Central Region was increasingly attracting the attention of investors.

“I am telling you, from where I stand and from what I have seen: the crowd is turning its eyes toward the Central Region,” she stated.

Come to Ekumfi District

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Ekumfi, Ishmael Nana Asamoah, touted the investment opportunities in the district and assured prospective investors of the Assembly’s support.

“The first thing that will welcome you… will be cooperation, peace. And then, the enabling environment for you to be able to carry out your business,” he said.

Mr Asamoah urged investors to collaborate with the Assembly to facilitate their projects and access the necessary support.

“I am offering the Assembly as your key partner in everything that you intend to do. Please, come to the Assembly. Let all of us cooperate,” he stated.

The organisers expressed optimism that the Golden Roots Festival would become a regular platform for connecting investors with property opportunities in Mankessim and the wider Central Region.

They said the initiative would help promote property investment beyond major cities while creating opportunities for individuals and businesses to establish sustainable projects and build lasting legacies in the region.
