Twifo Kotokye D/A Basic School Appeals for KG Block, Furniture

The Twifo Kotokye D/A Basic School in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region is appealing for support to provide a kindergarten (KG) block and furniture to improve teaching and learning.

The Community Chairman of the Twifo Kotokye-Kyerekum Electoral Area, Gabriel Adomakoh, said the school is facing serious infrastructure and logistical challenges, particularly inadequate furniture and the absence of a dedicated KG block.

According to him, the challenges are making it difficult for teachers and pupils to undertake effective teaching and learning.

Mr Adomakoh made the appeal during the distribution of exercise books, pens and pencils to pupils in the electoral area.

He said the shortage of furniture has compelled some pupils to learn under difficult conditions, stressing the need for urgent intervention to improve the learning environment.

He therefore appealed to the government, non-governmental organisations, corporate bodies and benevolent individuals to support the school with the needed infrastructure and furniture.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, a teacher at the Twifo Kotokye D/A Basic School, Daniel Hartle, expressed appreciation to Mr Adomakoh for the donation.

Mr Hartle, however, said the school needs additional furniture for both the primary and Junior High School (JHS) sections.

He urged individuals, organisations and other stakeholders to support the school to address its infrastructure and furniture needs.

He said improving the physical learning environment was essential to enhancing effective teaching and learning at the school.
