Football Is One of the World’s Most Profitable Careers – T.D. Vondee

The Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hon. David T.D. Vondee, has described football as one of the most profitable professions in the world, saying the sport offers enormous opportunities for young people to build successful careers.

According to him, many footballers now earn more than people in several other professions, making it important to invest in sports infrastructure to help talented youth realise their potential.

He noted that the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District is blessed with many talented footballers and expressed his commitment to supporting them through the construction of a modern AstroTurf facility at Twifo Praso.

Hon. Vondee made the remarks during the sod-cutting ceremony for AstroTurf at TwifoPraso, revealing that the facility is being financed from his share of the MP’s Common Fund.

The District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hon. Isaac Yawson, described the AstroTurf project as a game changer for the district’s youth. He said the district has produced outstanding football talents, citing Kwame Opoku of Asante Kotoko as an example, and expressed confidence that the new facility would help discover and nurture more talented players.

Meanwhile, the C.E.O of Brag Ghana Limited, Mr Eddy Danquah, the contractor for the project, assured residents that work would begin within one to two weeks. He appealed to the community to support the project to ensure its successful completion.
