Obaapa Fatima Amoadu Calls for Peace Ahead of Ekumfi NDC Elections
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Cocoa Processing Company, Obaapa Fatima Amoadu, has called on candidates contesting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency elections in Ekumfi to promote peace, unity and mutual respect ahead of the polls scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026.
In a message shared ahead of the elections, she extended her warm greetings and best wishes to all candidates, urging them to approach the contest with tolerance and sportsmanship.
“As we prepare for tomorrow’s 24th October 2026 NDC Constituency elections in Ekumfi, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to all candidates,” she said.
She further urged party members to demonstrate maturity throughout the electoral process, stressing that their collective interest in building a stronger and more united NDC should take precedence over individual ambitions.
“May tomorrow’s election be peaceful, successful, and characterised by unity, mutual respect, tolerance, and sportsmanship,” she stated.
Obaapa Fatima Amoadu also encouraged the contestants and their supporters to remember the party’s common goal and avoid actions that could undermine unity after the elections.
“Beyond our individual ambitions, we share a common goal: building a stronger and more united NDC in Ekumfi,” she added.
Her appeal comes as party members prepare to elect constituency-level leaders, with the outcome expected to shape the party’s organisational activities in the area.
The call underscores the importance of peaceful internal party elections and the need for candidates and their supporters to respect the electoral process and maintain cordial relations regardless of the outcome.
