Kwesi Kwarteng Appeals for Support for Prophet Badu Kobi Amid Reported Health Challenges

Former Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and spokesperson for Kennedy Agyapong, Kwesi Kwarteng, has appealed to the Christian community to support Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi amid what he describes as a series of overwhelming personal and health challenges.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Mr Kwarteng said the preacher had endured several difficult experiences, including the loss of a child, the collapse of his church and businesses, the breakdown of his marriage and financial difficulties.

He also expressed concern about Badu Kobi’s health, saying the prophet’s condition appeared to be deteriorating.

“He has lost his child. His church collapsed. His businesses collapsed. His marriage collapsed. His finances collapsed,” Mr Kwarteng wrote.

“And now, even his health appears to be collapsing.”

Mr Kwarteng described Badu Kobi’s situation as “truly heartbreaking” and prayed for God to grant him strength and sustain him through his difficulties.

He also said Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun had assisted Badu Kobi “behind the scenes” and was willing to do more.

According to Mr Kwarteng, the challenges facing Badu Kobi are “hugely overwhelming,” prompting him to call on members of the Christian community to come to the preacher’s aid.

“I pray the Christian community comes to his aid in this current situation he finds himself where his health is almost failing,” he said.

Mr Kwarteng did not provide specific details about Badu Kobi’s reported health condition in the Facebook post.
