The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West, Rodolf Amoako-Gyampah, has expressed confidence in all 27 candidates contesting the Central Regional elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying they have what it takes to unite the party after the polls.

Speaking to the media after casting his ballot at the Mankessim Astro Turf, Mr Amoako-Gyampah said the outcome of the election would be crucial to the party’s preparations for the 2028 general elections.

“When you win Central Region in the general elections, this is the reason why this exercise is very important. One thing I am confident in is the people who are contesting. They are capable of bringing everybody together to secure electoral victory for the party,” he said.

The MP also expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, commending the Electoral Commission, the police and other stakeholders for ensuring a calm atmosphere at the voting centre.

“You can see that the atmosphere is calm. The EC, police and all stakeholders are conducting themselves very well. That’s very impressive,” he added.
