Sentuo Group has stepped up its humanitarian response following Ghana’s devastating June 29 floods, presenting a major consignment of food, drinking water and protective supplies to the Office of the President for onward distribution to affected households and communities.

The donation is aimed at providing immediate relief to families whose lives and livelihoods were disrupted by the floods, with essential food items and protective materials forming the core of the humanitarian package.

The consignment includes 140 metric tonnes of rice and sugar, alongside granular maize, sachet water, sunflower oil and sardines to help meet the basic nutritional needs of affected families.

Sentuo Group has also provided protective supplies, including Wellington boots and mosquito nets, which are expected to help residents cope with the difficult conditions that often follow major flooding, including stagnant water, muddy surroundings and increased exposure to mosquitoes.

The items were presented to the Office of the President, which will oversee their onward distribution to households and communities impacted by the June 29 floods.

The gesture highlights the important role of corporate organisations in supporting national relief efforts during times of crisis. For families who lost property, food supplies and other essentials to the floods, the donation is expected to provide much-needed assistance as communities begin the difficult process of recovery.

With the scale of the flooding leaving many households in need of urgent support, contributions such as Sentuo Group’s relief package are set to complement government and other humanitarian interventions aimed at helping affected communities rebuild.

The donation reinforces Sentuo Group’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to relief efforts during times of national need.
