BISECO gets donation boost as 2006 year group marks 20th anniversary

It was a donation spree at Bisease Senior High School (BISECO) in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region on Saturday, August 8, 2026, as year groups of the BISECO Old Students Association (BOSA) and a philanthropist responded to some of the school’s pressing needs.

The donations formed part of activities marking the 20th anniversary of the 2006 year group, which brought together old students and colleagues to renew their bonds and support their alma mater.

The 2006 year group presented a 3,500-litre poly tank to the school to help address water supply challenges on campus.

The gesture was complemented by the 1993 year group, which donated a 10,000-litre poly tank to further strengthen the school’s water storage capacity.

The 2001 year group also donated a 50-inch television set to the school.

Adding to the list of donations, a former accountant at Agrey Memorial School, Mr Albert Afari Krampah, together with his son, presented an electronic signage board to BISECO to enhance communication and information dissemination on campus.

Mr Krampah is not new to supporting the school. About two decades ago, he built the first science laboratory for BISECO, a contribution that has remained part of the school’s development history.

Receiving the items, the Headmaster of BISECO and a member of BOSA, Mr Francis Afari Sackey, pledged to ensure that the items were put to good use and properly maintained.

“We receive these donations with joy and gladness. The school is grateful to the various year groups and the Krampah family. What I can promise is that we will do everything possible to ensure that the items are put to good use,” Mr Afari Sackey pledged.

The headmaster expressed appreciation to the donors, describing the interventions as timely contributions that would help improve teaching and learning conditions at the school.

New BOSA executives

The anniversary celebration also provided an opportunity for members of BOSA to elect new national executives to steer the affairs of the association.

Prof. Ishmeal Yaw Dadson of the Department of Geography at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), was elected President of BOSA.

The election formed part of efforts by the old students to strengthen the association, promote unity among members and deepen collaboration between BOSA and the school.

The 20th anniversary celebration of the 2006 year group was, therefore, marked by a renewed sense of camaraderie among old students, with the donations underscoring their commitment to giving back to their alma mater and contributing to its continued development.
