Voting Begins for Central Region NPP Executive Elections
Voting has commenced for the election of the Central Regional executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Mankessim Astro Turf.
A total of 461 delegates are expected to participate in the exercise to elect the party’s next crop of regional executives.
The electoral college comprises 397 delegates from the 21 constituencies, 17 Regional Executives, 20 members of the Council of Elders and Patrons, 17 TESCON representatives from tertiary institutions across the region, four Members of Parliament, and six National Council Members.
A total of 27 candidates have filed to contest for the various executive positions.
The election is expected to determine the leadership of the party at the regional level as the NPP positions itself ahead of the 2028 General Elections.
The exercise is being closely watched by party members and stakeholders, with the outcome expected to shape the party’s strategy and mobilisation efforts in the Central Region ahead of the 2028 polls.
