Ekumfi Moses Declares Intent to Contest NDC Youth Organizer Position

Moses Annan, popularly known as “Ekumfi Moses,” has officially declared his intention to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ekumfi Constituency Youth Organizer election.

Mr Annan, who currently serves as the Other Youth Representative of the NDC in the Ekumfi Constituency, said his decision was driven by his desire to provide renewed leadership, stronger representation and practical opportunities for young people within the constituency.

In his declaration of intent, he said his experience as a youth representative had strengthened his commitment to empowering young people and promoting their active participation in the affairs of the party.

He outlined five key priorities for his proposed administration, including strong youth representation, grassroots mobilisation, addressing youth challenges, mentorship and leadership development, and promoting unity and inclusiveness.

According to him, he would champion the concerns of young people and ensure that their voices were reflected in party decision-making processes.

On grassroots mobilisation, Mr Annan said he would work to increase youth participation in party programmes, community service, leadership development and other activities aimed at strengthening the NDC at the grassroots.

He also identified unemployment, education, entrepreneurship, skills development and social welfare as some of the major challenges confronting the youth, promising to advocate practical solutions to address them.

Mr Annan further pledged to establish mentorship initiatives to connect young people with experienced leaders to help prepare the next generation of NDC leaders.

He said unity, discipline, teamwork and inclusiveness would also form a central part of his leadership agenda, stressing that every young person should have an opportunity to contribute to the development of the party.

“As an aspiring Youth Organizer, I pledge to remain accessible, accountable and responsive to the concerns of the youth,” he said.

Mr Annan expressed confidence that a united and action-oriented youth wing could make a significant contribution to the growth and electoral fortunes of the NDC in the Ekumfi Constituenc
